Crafting

Joining blog & response to time/place.

I see a bunch of you guys started following the blog, in order to add you guys as authors I need to know what email address you used to sign up for tumblr. Send me an email or tweet or text or something with that information and I’ll add you.

I’m usually out of town on the weekends, but Sunday evenings are actually usually okay. I’m not sure how often we wanted to do this? Every week? Every other week? Once a month?

If we wanted to do this at your house, Karen, my only problem would be getting a ride. I know a few people would be coming from near Mason though, so I could probably hitch a ride with one of them.

There’s also possibility of somewhere on campus, though then it’s most convenient for me and not the rest of you, especially if it was on a weekend. This might work if we did something during the weekday, but I know we’re all busy people as well.

When/where/how?

So, crafting!  Yes, this is a good idea.  A la Stitch and Bitch, only less knitting-focused (unless you want to knit, then knit away!).  When/where shall we do it?  A weekend?  An evening?  A weekend evening?

My house is always open to stuff like this, but maybe that’s not convenient for everyone.  What works?

Just to get the ball rolling, may I propose Sunday afternoon at my house?  Not because I am tied to either the time or the place, but because stuff gets moving faster if you give people something to disagree with :)  So, disagree away!

I kind of want these… or want to learn how to do needlepoint.

We should probably start a crafting group or something. Just have a bunch of us meet and hang out with good food and some craft supplies every once in a while…every two weeks or every month or so. Just let our emotions come out in an artistic way, no judgement, amongst friends.
